A play system with a tube slide was a “must”

The newly built day care institution BørneUniverset in Hobro needed playgrounds for all their outdoor areas. In one of the areas, they wanted a large play system with a tube slide. The day care institution had a general focus on sensory integration, movement and opportunities for immersion on their playgrounds. Here, a tube slide supports both sensory integration and movement, as the tube slide provides a completely different sensory experience because it closes off the outside world.

The chosen tube slide is part of the Zulu play system from the LEDON Explore theme world, and is therefore green, as it fits in with Explore’s thematic universe. The slide is also equipped with windows at the start, which provides extra light when the children have to sit down. The tube slide starts from the play system's highest tower with a floor height of 190 cm and has a spiral design. This design is a space-saving solution and can give the children a longer slide in a smaller area, which can be an advantage if the available area is small.

In this way, the day care institution fulfilled their wish for a special and different slide ride for the children.
