Straight tube slides
Why choose a straight tube slide?
A straight tube slide is for speed-happy children who love to whizz down slides. With a straight design, there are no speed-reducing curves, giving gravity a free rein depending on the gradient of the slope. A straight tube slide is also easy to use for short slide rides as it can be designed from a low start height. Whatever length you choose, you can be sure that the children will love it and want to go on another ride.

Can cover a larger area
Low start height

Product overview
Large and small straight tube slides
If you have a large area, a long, straight tube slide may be an obvious choice. The higher the start height of the tube slide, the longer it will also be, as the gradient should not be too steep. Therefore, the straight tube slide can stretch far from start to finish and be a good addition to the surroundings, if desired. Many choose to add it to play systems, play towers or as an embankment slide where the tube slide runs down a hill.

A tube slide is not only used for large play towers or structures. It can also be used for small play towers or other projects with a low start height. A low start height will often mean that one of our straight tube slides will suit your project, as this tube slide model can be designed as very short. Our experience is that even a short ride down a tube slide can be great fun.
What technical matters should you be aware of for straight tube slides?
The most important thing to note about the straight tube slide is that the maximum allowed length without curves is seven metres. This is an EN 1176 requirement, which helps ensure that the children do not gather too much speed, which can easily happen in a straight tube slide as it has no speed-reducing curves.
Our straight tube slides can be used with both a high and a low start height. However, the start height will often not be as high as with, for example, a spiral tube slide, as the straight slide does not have speed-reducing curves and can end up becoming too fast. Depending on your choice of start height, you may need to add our exit extension. We generally recommend the exit extension when the start height is around three metres, depending on the design. In fact, the high speed that the children enjoy only slows down when they exit the tube. It is therefore important to add an exit extension to provide an extra length to slide along while the speed decreases. The length of the exit extension will depend on the sliding length of the slide.
The straight tube slide needs support posts positioned approximately every three metres to help ensure a solid and stable construction.
Get a customised solution

Our spiral slides come in several standard versions for you to choose from. However, it is always possible to customise the tube slides according to your wishes. This may concern minor changes, such as a change of colours or addition of windows. But it may also be major changes, such as the height of the tube slide, extra curves etc. We often end up creating customised solutions, as the tube slides often have to fit very specific dimensions, wishes and surroundings.
