Again, its space-saving design makes it attractive for indoor use, as there is often not a lot of space available. Here the tube slide serves as an alternative to the stairs. What technical matters should you be aware of for spiral tube slides?
The spiral tube slide is one of the slides that can have the highest start height. The spiral does not take up more space the higher it becomes, making it easy to increase the height as desired. The speed through the tube slide also remains stable, as the constant turns stop children from gathering too much speed. However, if the slide reaches a height of several metres, it may still be necessary to add an exit extension. If, instead, you want a small spiral tube slide, the lowest possible start height is 1.75 metres, as the start height cannot be lower because the tubes must twist around themselves before they hit the ground.
A spiral tube requires support posts both between the spirals and at the base. It is possible to add windows in the straight tube components of 59 and 106 cm, which will most often only be used around the start of the tube slide, as it otherwise has curved tubes to create the spiral design.
