An S-shaped tube slide is our most obvious choice of embankment slide. The small curves in the tube slide design help slow down the children’s sliding speed, making the tube slide a fun and smooth ride down hills and slopes – even if the gradient is steep. The optimal embankment slide
Our many tube slide designs make it possible to have many different purposes, but some designs are more obvious for a specific purpose than others. Our S-shaped tube slide is an optimal choice for hills, slopes and other longer distances. The tube slide design allows it to stretch far, while still ensuring that the children do not gather too much speed as it has small curves. The S-shape also makes it easier to adapt the tube slide to the terrain if, for example, there are elevations or other uneven surfaces that need to be taken into account.
If you have a large area, you can, advantageously, place two embankment slides side by side, creating a competitive element that both children and adults can enjoy. Here you can compete to be the first down the slide, but also the fastest up to try it again.
What technical matters should you be aware of for S-shaped tube slides?
The S-shaped tube slide is a great alternative to the straight tube slide if you want a long slide but need a higher start height. Due to the speed-reducing curves in the tube slide design, the S-shaped tube slide can have a higher starting point, as the children’s slide ride will not reach too high a speed.
To ensure a stable construction, support posts must be positioned in all curves. Depending on the start height and length of the slide, it will be necessary to use our exit extension to ensure that the children get a good end to their ride down the slide.

Our spiral slides come in several standard versions for you to choose from. However, it is always possible to customise the tube slides according to your wishes. This may concern minor changes, such as a change of colours or addition of windows. But it may also be major changes, such as the height of the tube slide, extra curves etc. We often end up creating customised solutions, as the tube slides often have to fit very specific dimensions, wishes and surroundings.
