What technical matters should you be aware of in tube slides with curves?
A tube slide with curves is ideal for those looking for a more space-efficient tube slide, but with straight sections. With a curve in either direction, you can run the tube slide along the side of a play tower or other structure, instead of it sticking straight out into the playground. The curve also reduces the speed a little, which means that you can have a higher start height than with a straight design. The tube slide will therefore still give the children a relatively high-speed ride, as there are straight sections where the children gather good speed.
The tube slide can be designed in almost any direction, but the curve must never be exactly 90 degrees. Such a curve will be too sharp and will not give the children a pleasant ride down the tube slide. Depending on the start height and length of the tube slide, you may need to add our exit extension to give the children a good end to the ride. Support posts must be positioned at every curve and possibly also on the straight sections, depending on the length of the tube slide.
