A tube slide for safe and fast evacuation

Typically, tube slides are integrated into playgrounds or play systems, but they can also be used for a variety of other purposes. LEDONs tube slides are produced using our specially developed type of polyethylene that meets the EN 71-2 flammability standard, which means they are approved for use as emergency exits.

A day care institution in Germany, decided to install an eye-catching spiral tube slide that not only serves as a fun play activity for children alongside the existing playground, but also functions as an emergency exit for both the children and staff. The slide provides a quick and direct evacuation route away from the building in a number of seconds, in the case of an emergency, where evacuation is necessary. In an institution with a vast amount of young children as well as staff, this is an optimal and safe alternative to exiting a building in an emergency.

The tube slide is designed specifically with a spiral implemented in the design. This helps to regulate speed, ensuring a safe slide experience for children. Unlike a straight slide, which from this height could be too fast for the younger children, the spiral structure slows down the speed to a comfortable pace.
