Tunnel with special effects
At the Holmenkollen ski museum, you’ll find an LEDON Slides tunnel cast in brown polyurethane. It is painted with special effects to blend naturally with the exhibition’s mountain landscape. The realistic surface gives visitors the feeling of moving through rock - a sensation that enhances the exhibition’s story of nature and adventure.
Colors, textures, and effects can be customized so that the tunnel fits any theme - from lifelike rock structures to imaginative, colorful worlds. This makes LEDON Slides tunnels ideal for museums, playgrounds, and exhibitions where the design integrates seamlessly into the surroundings while sparking curiosity and playfulness.
In addition to the tunnel, the Holmenkollen Ski Museum offers an exciting journey through more than 4,000 years of ski culture - from Stone Age hunters who used skis to survive, to today’s modern winter sports and technology. The museum, operated by the Ski Association, is the world’s oldest museum dedicated to skiing and ski history, founded in 1923. It is located beneath the iconic Holmenkollen Tower.
The exhibitions display historic skis, polar expeditions, and the development of Norwegian skiing, with a section dedicated to the heroes Fridtjof Nansen and Roald Amundsen and their skis used on expeditions. Beyond the museum, visitors can take the elevator to the top of Holmenkollen Tower and enjoy panoramic views of Oslo and the fjord. Holmenkollen and the Ski Museum are among Norway’s most visited tourist attractions and a symbol of the country’s strong skiing traditions.
